Message Mayor Tammy & Council Members,
We are sending you this message as Meridian City residents to voice our 100%+
support for the proposed Costco at Chinden & Ten Mile. With the mass of residential
construction projects being built in Meridian, we as current residents and the future
residents of Meridian need additional shopping opportunities for groceries and
miscellaneous goods. Meridian City, in our opinion, would also benefit greatly from
these developments in several areas such as tax collection benefits, jobs for local
residents, keeping dollars spent by Meridian residents in Meridian, and providing
local shopping opportunities for these sorts of goods so Meridian residents don't have
to shop in Boise, Nampa, Eagle, etc...
Additionally, we would like to see Meridian City be more friendly to major
businesses and job creators and providers such as Costco and Winco. All development
cannot simply be gas stations, fast food, strip malls, banks, etc... Meridian needs the
Costcos and the Wincos as well.
We would respectfully request the approval of this project for the benefit of Meridian
City and it's residents.
