Message I have lived at my current address for nearly 10 years and previously in west Boise
since the early 70s. I have witnessed much growth in those 45 years, and of course the
traffic that comes with it. Costco will undoubtedly create more traffic for the area due
to their substantial popularity. But, as a loyal Costco member, I am delighted that
they are planning to locate within walking distance of where I live. It is unreasonable
to expect that the growth in population will not demand more commercial
develop ment. With the improvements to Chinden and Linder that are proposed as part
of the development, much needed road improvement will be made much sooner than
otherwise possible. Costco is a great retailer and employer. We could do far worse in
choosing a business for our area. I strongly encourage the Meridian City Council to
approve the planned Costco development.
