Subject Biuld a Costco Store in Meridian
Message Dear City Council Members,
We are writing to show our support for you approving of the new Costco Warehouse
in our city. Our house is located close to the proposed location on Ten Mile
Rd./Chinden Blvd. (less than half a mile) We know that a store of this magnitude will
increase the traffic in our area and may bring other unforeseen issues but we believe
the benefits and convenience to our area will overshadow the inconveniences. We
love Costco and even though we just moved to the area (and in Idaho) it is long
overdue that Meridian has it's own Costco Warehouse. It will bring jobs,
improvement to the nearby roads and we assume a lot of taxes to the city coffers. As
Meridian grows at a rate well above average in the nation, this store is a necessity to
our residents. The other two nearby Costco warehouses are quite far for our residents
and not to mention they're always too busy. We hope you will take our request into
consideration along with other favorable opinions of our neighbors. We know you
will face a lot of apposition from other people but we believe that in the end you'll
decide what's best for the majority of people.
