Dear Mayor Tammy and Council Members,
We want to drop our personal line of support for the approval of the present proposed location of another Costco Store.
Why any one would object to such a company for this site seems strange to us for the following reasons:
1) It appears to be a much needed and an ideal location to pull those from North Meridian, Eagle, Star, etc. away from
the currently over populated Cole Road location.
2) Costco is a highly reputable upbeat Company of high standards that will compliment Meridian and bring great jobs to
the area.
3) In addition to the store, Costco has proposed widening and improving the roads which is a benefit to the pocket
books of all of us.
4) This is a company that shuts down by 8:30 every week night and 6:30 on the week-ends and has a well monitored
parking lot. So would they rather have a multi-level apartment complex with all its loud comings and goings day and
night, loud music, barking dogs, etc...or perhaps some other big business ends up in that space with even later hours
open for business? Both these scenarios are certainly possibilities.
5) Growth and progress is inevitable for our community. How much better for all of us to have such a reputable
company as Costco to occupy this space.
