Subject Costco Expansion
Message My wife Gayle and I are in favor of the Costco expansion at Chinden and 10 mile. We
realize that this expansion will cause some inconveniences but this is true of any such
project. Meridian is growing so rapidly that convenient places to shop are certainly a
growing need. At this point we have to travel either to Nampa or Boise Costco to shop
which is not only quite a trek but both stores are overcrowded. If we keep adding new
homes, without the supporting infrastructure, Meridian will suffer. I understand there
is a plan to widen Chinden to I-5 which is long overdue. At least this project will take
some of the pressure off down to highway 16 until Chinden is widened all the way.
My only question is how Milano Rd. was the stopping point for widening 10 Mile.
What is the impact of stopping at Milano.
