Message I am writing to inform you that I support the building of a Costco at the Ten Mile and
Chinden location. I believe this will help the residents of Meridian, Star and
Eagle. This will help to reduce the traffic currently streaming through the center of
Meridian. Consumers trying to currently get to Costco must travel great distances
congesting the roads even more than there are now. This location will be within a
couple of miles of my house and many houses in these cities. Less congestion and
shorter travelling distances help consumers to save time and fuel. Also it keeps the
spending within the city limits of Meridian and not in Boise and Meridian. There are
currently no houses surroundiing this area, so noise should not be a concern for
residents. Any that move into future subdivisions surrounding this location would
already be aware that it is there and can choose to live there or not.
