Subject Proposed Costco at 10 Mile and Chinden
Message My husband and I would like to voice our support for the proposed Costco planned
for the intersection of Chinden and Ten Mile. The city is growing rapidly and more
shopping options would be welcome. The addition of another Costco to this area
would ease the congestion at both of the current locations and provide additional
revenue for the city. It will be important to protect the privacy of the residents of the
Bainbridge subdivisions, but I believe that adequate barriers could be built to
minimize the impact of the increase in traffic. The map indicates that this area will
eventually be developed as commercial, so the increased traffic argument doesn't hold
up. The Fred Meyer complex has proven that more commercial development is
needed with the growin g population and the increased convenience will make the area
more attractive to future home owners.
