Dear Mayor, Planning and Zoning and City Council members,
I am writing this email to make my SUPPORT of the proposed Costco at Chinden and 10 Mile Road. I can't
make the meeting tonight but feel strongly that the proposed development should be approved. I live in
Spurwing Greens and feel that the benefits of additional services and the traffic improvements to Chinden and
10 Mile that Costco is planning, make this a development my family fully supports. If there can be a Walmart
at 10 Mile and McMillan, I don't see why a Costco at 10 Mile and Chinden should be denied.
I am aware that the HOA board of Spurwing sent a letter in opposition to this project based on an email survey
of residents. I am also aware that there is a vocal, organized group opposed to this plan. However, I feel that
there are a lot of people like myself who support it. I know a lot of families, who are busy juggling work and
children, who don't have time to take email surveys and go to meetings and organize and comment on social
media, but would LOVE the ease of having a Costco nearby. We may not be as involved or vocal, but I believe
there is more support for this project than it seems.
