Please DO NOT approve the Amendment to the Future Land Use from Medium Density
Residential and Mixed Use Community to Mixed Use Residential - hearing March 1, 2018
It is not fair to homeowners to allow the city to 'change the rules' after they purchased their
homes in order to benefit a commercial developer.
I love Costco, own Costco shares, and would love to have a Costco in Meridian. This is the
wrong location. Such a large big box store does not belong in a residential neighborhood. The
traffic problems it would create would have a negative impact on quality of life for many
hundreds of northwest Meridian residents. I have been to numerous Costco stores around the
nation, and all have been located with easy access to major roadways, and did not impact
residential neighborhoods.
Please VOTE TO RECOMMEND DENIAL of Costco or any large retailer in this location.
