Here's what they had to say: Request for Mayor and Council Name Stephen Lewis _replyto spudtraffic@msn.com 2 Street Address 3458 W. Niemann Drive City Meridian State ID Zip Code 83646 Subject Public Hearing for Lost Rapids (H-2018-0004) Located at the SW Corner of Chinden Blvd. Ten Mile Road (aka Costco) Message I would like to express my support for the Costco development on the SW corner of Chinden & Ten Mile, which is the subject of a Planning & Zoning hearing tomorrow night (March 1, 2018). I have read through the Application Materials and City Staff Report, and I am in agreement with Staff's recommendations, which I believe will improve the development while remaining consistent with our vision for Meridian. One important item that I would like to discuss is access from the development onto Chinden Blvd (US-20/26). Ideally, Council would agree with Staff recommendation and deny the Variance for direct access onto Chinden. I realize that compromises may need to be made for the economic viability of a development. But we should also keep in mind the recently-completed US-20/26 Corridor Study and the future Expressway that this facility is to become. And so I disagree with the ITD response to the traffic impact study, in that if partial access is to be granted, it should be limited to a single right-in-right-out only at Site Driveway A (*without* the initial left-turns- in being allowed by ITD) and *no* access at Site Driveway B (closest to the Chinden/Ten Mile intersection). I believe these changes to be consistent with the Corridor Study and with IDAPA driveway spacing rules. Thank you for your time. -Stephen Lewis This form was submitted at 03:57 AM UTC - 01 March 2018. You are receiving this because you confirmed this email address on Formspree.
