Here's what they had to say: Request for Mayor and Council Name Kara & Jonathan Sage _replyto karasage7@gmail.com 2 Street Address 137 W Bacall Dr City Meridian State ID Zip Code 83646 Subject Support for Costco at Ten Mile & Chinden Message We would like to voice our support for the Costco at the proposed Ten Mile & Chinden site. We live approximately 1.5 miles farther down Chinden, in Paramount. The Ten Mile & Chinden location is ideal for Eagle and Meridian residents, as the Boise and Nampa locations are both 20+ minutes out of our way. We understand that some nearb y residents have concerns, however we do not concur with those concerns. For one, Costco's hours are very reasonable and during typical daytime hours. Thus, traffic and noise would be very minimal early in the morning or during the nighttime. Second, we have personally lived just across the street from a Costco in Eugene, OR. This Costco neither made traffic in the area crazy nor created significant noise. In fact, from just across the street, we could not hear them at all. We felt that Costco was an excellent neighbor - they were quiet, well upkept, and useful to have nearby. The areas surrounding Costcos tend to be park-like - and looking at the proposed plan we don't see any reason this one would have a different aesthetic. We also feel that having a Costco closer to us would enable us to utilize our membership more frequently, including perks like cheaper gas prices and excellent bulk prices. To conclude, we highly support Costco's proposed new location and sincerely hope that it gains the planning and zoning commission's approval. This form was submitted at 06:32 AM UTC - 01 March 2018.
