Subject Support of Costco and Winco Developments in Meridian
Message I am a Costco member and support adding a new store at the corner of Chinden Blvd
and Ten Mile. It will certainly take more cars off of Eagle and other roads as we have
to travel so far to reach a Costco in Boise or Nampa. I understand that Costco is
addressing the widening and improving Chinden as well as Ten Mile, which will
certainly be needed should they put a store in that location. I understand there are
those who are vocally opposing it, but there are many of us who would welcome it in
our neighborhood. I live in Paramount and was supportive when I heard they were
looking at the corner of Chinden and Linder. I would also support a Winco going in
either of those locations as well. I do hope that Chinden will be widened in the near
future between Highway 16 and Eagle road to accommodate the future traffic.
