Here's what they had to say: 2 Request for Mayor and Council Name Justin Rex _replyto jacarei39@gmail.com Street Address 139 E Ironstone Dr City Meridian State ID Zip Code 83646 Subject Costco at 10 Mile & Chinden Message I will be out of town during the March 1 City Council meeting so am submitting my comments electronically. I am in favor of the Costco at the proposed site and request that the City Council approve the request for the changes necessary to allow the proposed Costco site to move forward. The reality is that growth along Chinden will continue, if not Costco, then something else, and I would prefer Costco as Costco has proposed expanding Chinden, which will take ITD 10+ years to do but the area will be developed long before then. Costco doesn't open real early in the morning so it won't increase commuting traffic or interfere with school bus traffic. It will bring economic growth to the area and the housing zoned to go around it hasn't been built yet so anyone moving in right next to it will know it is there before buying so that shouldn't be a concern as no one lives right next to it. With the expanded roads next to them, traffic will flow better than it does now and those people moving into the area will benefit from the wider roads at least a decade sooner than they would without Costco.
