Hey there,
Someone just submitted your form on meridiancity.org. Here's what they had to say:
2
Request for Mayor and Council
Name Jennifer Rouse
_replyto jcrouse@hotmail.com
Street Address 2633 W Bellagio Dr
City Meridian
State ID
Zip Code 83646-3279
Subject Costco...Yes!
Message I am unable to come to the meeting on March 1, but I wanted to voice my opinion
heard. I live in Bridgetower, just a little over a mile away from the proposed site. The
area has grown leaps and bounds since we moved here in 2006 and that is a good
thing. It is 12 miles to Nampa and I don't like to make the drive to go to Costco. The
intersection is a busy one yes, but with or without Costco traffic will get worse...it's
just part of the city's growth. It would be ridiculous not to have Costco go in, becaus e
regardless something WILL GO THERE. Please allow it to be Costco. Our
community needs it. Yes Chinden needs improvements, but they are far far down the
road, unless we approve this project. The people who are upset will be upset
regardless of what Meridian chooses with the land. Just read comments on
NextDoor... they are behaving like a lynch mob who are more concerned about
"winning the great fight", than they are about ways that this city can provide a win for
all. Costco will provide jobs, and a huge economic boost, not to mention $$ to help
with the road improvements we so desperately need! Approve Costco!!!
