Message I received a mailer from Costco the other day indicating we could come to this
website to voice our support for a new Costco store in Meridian. We are regular
shoppers at Costco, as I am sure many citizens in Meridian are. The Costco store in
Boise is far away and always super crowded. We are a city that is growing at a rapid
pace and we have the size to support a store like this in our community.
The fact Costco wants to come to Meridian is proof of that. Costco is a reputable
company who treat their employees and their customers well. Talking to many in and
around the community, the only people who seem to have a problem with it live in
that particular area and don't want any businesses close to their homes, let alone
Costco. Seems like a very vocal minority in my opinion. Meridian is growing and
expanding, so the vocal minority needs to get over it. With growth and expansion,
comes new businesses. This is a win-win for the people of Meridian and Costco.
