Subject Proposed Costco at Ten Mile/Chinden
Message Dear Mayor and City Council,
As a long time resident on N. Ten Mile, I am strongly opposed to the approval of the
planned Costco on the corner of Ten Mile and Chinden.
Over the years, growth has exploded in our once peaceful and rural setting. With the
addition of dozens of subdivisions and commercial developments, traffic and
safety is our number one concern.
Why not build Costco at the Ten Mile overpass where the infrastructure is already in
place and the additional enormous traffic load won't impact our neighborhoods.
When Walmart went it, it was unknown to the area just what it was until the signs
went up. Adding more semi trucks to North Ten Mile endangers anyone trying to
enter or exit a driveway or subdivision. We hear trucks in the early morning hours
thru late into the night.
We value what little peace we have left and OPPOSE the Costco plan. Make them
move to the I-84 interchange........that makes sense. Building in the middle of homes
DOESN'T.................WE VOTE NO NO NO NO!!!!
