Subject Against Costco Chinden and ten mile
Message Wanted you to be aware of my feelings regarding the proposed rezoning to
accomodate this massive industrial complex in the middle of an established residential
community. I live in Spurwing which will be directly impacted, and I like the
majority of my neighbors are opposed to Costco at this location. I feel the
motivations of council members in favor of this are purely $$$ and not what is best
for our community. Traffic on Chinden is already a nightmare. Have you been to the
exits where our current Costco s are? Do you think this kind of traffic is appropriate in
a neighborhood where kids are playing and getting to school? This kind of disregard
for established city planning will take away from everything that makes Meridian
great. How are Meridian Citizens supposed to trust anyone when buying property
here? There are many other options on State and up by 84 which would be more
appropriate and better be able to handle the traffic burden. Currently the infrastructure
to handle this costco development is not in place at Chinden and ten mile. Thank you
