Subject Costco Expansion into Meridian
Message As a Boise native and resident of Meridian near the proposed site for Costco, I am
expressing my strong support of this action. Costco is a professionally run
corporation with community interests ahead of profits. They want to be good
neighbors. And no, I'm not being paid to endorse this proposal:)
I've watched growth just happen in Boise and Meridian over the years. But these days
more thought is put into the impact on traffic, lifestyle and safety. It would be a
shame to not allow the Costco project to go forward. Because if not them, someone
else will, with potentially less financial backing and less sensitivity to the needs of the
community. Growth and expansion are a part of a thriving community. I hope those
in resistance realize that and get on board.
I retired after a 39 year with the Federal Government in an administrative capacity. If
I've learned anything during that time, it's this: The best way to predict the future is to
look at the past. Other Costco locations are easy to navigate, landscaped
professionally, and add to the neighborhood. And I'm not just talking about those in
the Treasure Valley. Check out their other sites around the State and elsewhere.
