Subject Proposed Meridian Costco
Message My husband and I are writing in support of the proposed Meridian Costco at the
intersection of Ten Mile Road and Chinden Boulevard. We are regular patrons of
Costco and we believe another location in the Treasure Valley at the proposed site
would greatly serve fellow residents of Meridian as well as those in Star, Eagle, and
the surrounding areas. Not only would it provide ease of access to customers, but will
provide additional jobs and tax revenue for the city of Meridian.
We agree that the road infrastructure around the area would need to be improved to
accommodate the increase in traffic flow. In addition to the proposed widening of Ten
Mile and Chinden west of Linder, we also feel that to adequately ease traffic in the
area, Chinden Boulevard would need to be widened between Linder Road east to
Eagle Road. This section of Chinden is already consistently mired in traffic and
additional lanes in this stretch of the road would do wonders not only for the proposed
Costco, but also for those who commute this route on a daily basis.
