Subject In favor of 10 Mile Costco and Linder Winco
Message I am writing on behalf of my wife and I to voice our support for the proposed Costco
and WinCo stores in north Meridian. While we are sympathetic to the residents near
these intersections, we don't believe it's in the best interests of the city to stifle g rowth
and send these companies elsewhere. Chinden Blvd is a state highway and a vital
connection between the cities of the Treasure Valley. It makes perfect sense to widen
this road and locate high-traffic shopping along it. We do ask that the council
continue to push for well-designed developments that minimize noise and light
pollution. In the end, however, it would be a shame to lose this opportunity for jobs
