Dear Commissioners,
I live in NW Meridian near McMillan and Meridian Roads, and would like to express my opinion against
building a Costco in the proposed location so close to neighborhoods. This will greatly affect the lifestyle and
feel of this area of Meridian, as well as the obvious impact to traffic. People choose to live in this area for the
nice neighborhoods and not the big box store feel that goes with these types of development. Costco is not a
neighborhood store. The existing and growing developments have stayed within or somewhat close to a small
community town site.
Additionally, we are located between TWO existing Costco’s and have easy enough access to these locations. I
don’t see how another Costco would be supported, one of the current two locations would eventually be
abandoned and what would go in the giant buildings or would they sit there as empty eyesores.
Please consider Meridian a community people want to recognize in the future, and still be able to enjoy it for
the reason we live here.
Regards,
Becky Rose
