Subject New Costco at Chinden and Ten Mile
Message Dear Honorable Mayor and City Council,
I have been a Costco member since about 1993. Costco has always been a good
neighbor in the communities and has brought jobs along with a good selection of
products to the community that they serve.
I realize that traffic may be an issue, but traffic is an issue on most, if not all major
arterial roadways. Growth has and will become an issue as Meridian continues to
grow. I believe that the location that is currently being proposed is a good location as
it will bring commerce to Meridian from Gem County as well as the North and West
areas of Ada County.
If Meridian does not allow the Costco to located in Meridian, I believe that they will
loose a significant source of revenue and if they look back on this issue in 5 or 10
years, they will regret not approving the Costco in Meridian.
