Here's what they had to say: 2 Request for Mayor and Council Name Nancy Bair _replyto bairnancy@gmail.com Street Address 531 W Gable Street City Meridian State ID Zip Code 83646 Subject COSTCO Ten Mile/Chinden Message I will not be able to attend the meeting on March 1. However, I wanted to share my support for Costco coming to Meridian at Ten Mile/Chinden. We are close to the new location and are excited for Costco to be there! When we moved here from WA state, we had a Costco close by our previous home, about the same distance away from our current home as this proposed one will be . It was not a traffic issue because before they even opened their store, they improved and maintained the roads, which were very busy to begin with, widened them as needed, brought a much needed crosswalk, which the city wasn't going to do at all, and 2 new signaled-light intersections to an already growing and busy area, which was right next to a high school. After reading their plans for Meridian, I believe they will do the same by making traffic improvements. They have nice landscaping and take care of their buildings. I agree with others that the traffic at the other Costcos are out of control, but I have to believe if a new Costco is built, it will alleviate many of these traffic issues. Thank you.
