I would like to register my opposition to the application before Planning and Zoning on the Costco application.
I believe that the Costco warehouse store at that location will have a significant negative impact on traffic and
the "quality of life" in the surrounding neighborhoods. The traffic congestion on Ten Mile Rd. will surely
increase and negatively affect areas around Ten Mile Road as well.
I suggest that a more suitable location for another Costco store would be near I-84 and not in a residential area.
All neighborhoods north of Cherry Lane have experiences an explosion of commercial development since the
opening of the I-84 interchange at Ten Mile Road. I strongly suggest that Planning and Zoning put the brakes on
further commercial expansion in the area.
