I am writing on behalf of my household in Bainbridge
Subdivision. We built this home being informed that this was a
residential neighborhood. We were not aware that the land out
front would be sold to Costco, with traffic increasing and our
neighborhood taken over by diesel trucks, noise and cars. It is
already difficult to get in and out onto Chinden and Ten Mile as it
is.
Please stick to your original comp plan as designed. This proposal
is too intense of a usage for this residential neighborhood. We are
a small community who care for each other. We have children and
grandchildren who play outside. We walk on the sidewalks for daily
exercise and well being.
If Costco wants a location close to Eagle and Meridian there are
numerous other pieces of land for sale...away from a residential
subdivision. Something smaller out front on Ten Mile and Chinden
would be okay -- as the original comp showed a small corner with
commercial. But Costco would change the whole environment for
us who live here.
Sincerely,
Carris Smith
