Dear Mayor de Weerd,
I wanted to contact you directly to express my concerns about the new proposed CostCo at the corner of Ten
Mile and Chinden.
I am a huge CostCo fan. I have been in CostCos in many states.
This is the only (proposed) CostCo that I have ever seen which will directly abut a residential area. Every
CostCo I have been to has been in the middle of a retail area, or is adjacent to an industrial area.
I am a Bainbridge resident and it was represented to me when I bought into the subdivision that there would be
office space going into this spot. If I had known that CostCo was going into this area, I would have not bought
into this subdivision, and would have considered something elsewhere instead.
This CostCo will destroy our neighborhood. Our property values will drop significantly as well. There are
plenty of other spots along Chinden without an established neighborhood where it could be built.
I would ask that you carefully consider whether this CostCo belongs in this particular spot when and if it comes
to vote at the City Council.
