Subject: Linder Rd Winco
Hi Mayor,
Just thought I’d pass on my feedback on how your office has handled the Winco development at Linder. First,
your office has allowed a few neighbors, that won’t even actually back to the Winco, road block tens of millions
of dollars in improvements that would dramatically improve that corner and roadway. Second, your office
seems to be holding the Winco development to a different standard than the Costco, whom will generate just as
much traffic, if not more, yet, to my knowledge will not be improving Chinden from Ten Mile to Linder.
Finally, if the market were to correct or God forbid, collapse as it did 10 years ago, would you regret not
moving this forward as it deserved, or possibly losing the Overland Winco too?
In reality the Paramount neighborhood would most likely oppose any development other than a school, as
they’ve done on every corner so far. Please lead the way in setting the standard of development in the Treasure
Valley, and remind our community that bringing services and shopping closer to home, improves convenience,
increases home values, and reduces traffic. Thanks for your time and service.
Best Regards,
