NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN pursuant to the Ordinances of the City of Meridian and the Laws of the State of
Idaho that the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Meridian will hold a public hearing at the Meridian
City Hall, 33 East Broadway Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, at the hour of 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 for the
purpose of reviewing and considering the applications of:
Thomas H. Lasken for Annexation and Zoning of 0.99 acres of land with an R-2 zoning district for Lasken
Annexation (H-2017-0154) located at 721 E. Pine
Schultz Development for Conditional Use Permit consisting of 240 multi-family dwelling units on
approximately 12.59 acres in an existing R-40 zoning district and Preliminary Plat consisting of 13 multi-family
building lots 3 common lots on 12.59 acres in an existing R-40 zoning district for Baraya Apartments (H-2018-0003)
located near the southwest corner of S. Ten Mile Road and W. Franklin Road
GFI – Meridian Investments II, LLC and Brighton Investments for Amendment to the Future Land Use
Map contained in the Comprehensive Plan to change the land use designation on a combined 70.75 acres [78.33
acres with adjacent right-of-way (ROW)] of land from the Medium Density Residential [56.18 acres (61.83 acres with
ROW)] and the Mixed Use – Community [14.565 acres (16.50 acres with ROW)] to Mixed Use – Regional;
Annexation & zoning of 78.33 acres of land with R-15 (39.01 acres), R-40 (6.50 acres), and C-G (32.83 acres)
zoning districts; Preliminary Plat consisting of 1 residential building lot, 13 commercial building lots and 1 other lot
for dedication of right-of-way on 36.2 acres of land in the proposed R-40 and C-G zoning districts; and Variance to
UDC 11-3H-4B, which prohibits new approaches directly accessing a state highway to allow two (2) accesses via
State Highway 20-26 for Lost Rapids (H-2018-0004) located at the southwest corner of State Highway 20-26
(Chinden Blvd.) and N. Ten Mile Road;
City of Meridian for Text Amendment (H-2018-0011) to certain sections of the UDC pertaining to uses
allowed in Table 11-2A-2; standards for portable signs; daycare facility specific use standards; provisions to allow
multi-family private open space standards to be eligible for alternative compliance AND modify the subdivisio n street
names standards to align with newly adopted Title 8, Chapter 2, Uniform Street Name and Addressing Number Code.
Copies of the above applications are available for review upon request. Any and all interested persons shall
be heard at said public hearing, and the public is welcome and invited to submit testimony. Oral testimony may be
limited to three (3) minutes per person. Written materials may be submitted seven (7) days prior to the above hearing
date so that all interested parties may examine them prior to the hearing. All materials presented at public meetings
