Wallace Kimball 1-261 Charlene Way From:Wallace Kimball <idahohyker@gmail.com> Sent:Friday, January 26, 2018 10:53 AM To:City Clerk Subject:Midway Investments Rezone I am opposed to the rezone requested by Midway Investments H-2017-0165 for the following reasons: 1) near by properties loss in property value 2) increase in crime rates that will be caused by this apartment project 3) Increased traffic in the area 4) Infrastructure issue caused by this project is not fully addressed (need more room and walkways and sidewalks and parks and recreation in the area to accomodate the increased population) 5) This plan is a good example of "filling in the cracks" by devel opers when the original zoning is proper.....that is, just because the property has not yet been sold to the current zoning, there is no need to "re-zone" to make more money and increase density 6) This re-zone application does not address the "increase" in population to Meridian and how it meets Meridians plan to population increase. 7) This plan should state the current population of Meridian, the total population that should be in Meridian as planned by Meridian based upon infrastucture, and how this re-zone request fits into that plan. I am firmly opposed to this re-zone. Wally Kimball 2624 E. Apricot Ct. Meridian, Idaho 83646 IdahoHyker@gmail.com 208-741-1799
