PZ - ITD January 25, 2018 C.Jay Coles Meridian City Clerk’s Office 33 East Idaho Avenue Meridian, Idaho 83642 VIA EMAIL RE: H-2017-0167 CUP, PFP, RZ WHISTLE STOP SUBDIVISION The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) has reviewed the rezone of 5.73 acres of land, a conditional use permit for a multi-family development consisting of 68 residential units and a combined preliminary and final plat for 16 building lots and three (3) common lots by Biltmore Company, located at 1297 West Pine Avenue, Meridian, Idaho, north of I-84 mile post 43.30. ITD has the following comments: 1. This property does not abut the State highway system. 2. IDAPA 39.03.60 governs advertising along the State highway system. The applicant may contact Justin Pond, Program Manager for ITD’s Headquarters Right-of-Way Section at 334-8832 for more information. 3. Idaho Code 40-1910 does not allow advertising within the right-of-way of any State highway. 4. The City is reminded that the I-84 corridor is already congested. This project will increase the number of vehicle trips in the corridor. ITD has no current funding assigned to mitigate traffic congestion in the I-84 corridor in this area. 5. ITD does not object to the rezone, conditional use permit and the combination preliminary/final plat for the development on this property.
