Here's what they had to say: Request for Mayor and Council Name Terry Gieser _replyto tbgieser@cableone.net Street Address 1167 west laughton Drive City Meridian State ID Zip Code 83646 Subject Linder Village Message The City council asked Linder village to make significant changes to the proposed plan in November and alluded that when it came back a Decision will be made. Linder Village made ALOT of changes to address most of the concerns at a great cost and as predicted all those opposed came up with new objections. Those Homeowners all around that are hiring lawyers to come in and argue are never going to agree to a plan, that was evident last night, as well as the disrespect Joe showed when they were talking. Nobody acted like that when he was talking. He should have been escorted out. The Point is they will NEVER agree to any plan, just find new arguments. The amount of info being presented is inaccurate to say the least. You guys have a tuff job to wade thru the fluff and get to the truth, Linder Village should have been given an answer, yes or no last night, that way Winco can assess if it is really wor th building two new stores here based on how they are being treated. I have never seen a developer go to such lengths to widen roads, address homeowners, etc 2 yet still be forced to go back to square one. The gentleman that joined the council should not have been able to vote since it was his P and Z that rejected this the first time and was very anti-Winco from P and Z and he should have excused himself from the vote yet all he did was keep making motions to send it back to square one at P and Z just to see how long they can delay before Winco pulls out. P and Z allowed a dollar store loading door to exist 25 feet from a neighborhood, there only reasoning was no one came to object as opposed to P and Z should be protecting ALL neighborhoods regardless if any one objects or not and apply the same standards to all applicants. I do not know if you see the semi truck parked behind dollar store every couple of days, the homeowners hate it and P and Z should have protected them regardless of public input. Instead one of those P and Z representative gets to move up to City Council and rejects Linder village again. P and Z and City Council wanted the live work to be moved to transition from Paramount to commercial, that was done yet everyone of the same people rejected it in a different way. The city council keeps asking Linder village to change, change, change, they change all that was asked and still get rejected. I would be surprised if they come back again to get this thru and if they do more power to them, The city council is running out of reasons to delay this, either reject it outright and let Winco take it to court or approve what was modified three times to satisfy those opposed and get this done. I am so tired of spending 30 to 40 minutes in my car and clogging up streets to get to the other IDAHO based Winco, do you think it would be better if i could ride my bike to the store instead of clogging the streets? All these traffic problems fall squarely on ITD and ACHD (ACHD needs to be disbanded) and all the residents that moved in here, me included, but that does not give me the right to stop anyone from coming after me because I was here first. I also did not buy a house backing up to a commercial lot and hoped nothing would go in there. It is like moving next to an airport and then fighting the airplane noise. Thank you.
