Subject:Linder Village Project (Chinden and Linder)
Dear Sir:
I am writing again as there is a council meeting on November 21st, 2017 regarding the rezoning of the large
property named by the development company as "Linder Village". Our concern as it was in the 1st letter that
this piece of property is not appropriate for a large commercial building such as Winco. It is our understanding
that the developer has "tweeked" his original plans to better fit on the property, Winco does not belong there. It
is too big and something that is a 24/7 type of business going on with more traffic, more congestion and noise.
Again, we bought our home in Paramount with the understanding that it was going to be offices or small
commercial structures consistent with the Mixed Use Community.
How would u like to have invested a large amount of money in a home then find out it will not be worth what
you paid for it 11 years ago? Not a good thing as we are retired and live on a fixed income. How would y ou feel
it this were your parents or grandparents?
We have loved living in Paramount and at our ages, 73 and 76 do not have the energy or the money to have to
pack and move all our household belonging to another home that is if we could even sell our house any longer.
I also understand that the developer still wants a 3rd stop sign at Bergman which does not make any good sense
either as there are already two lights now, one at Fox Run and the other at Linder
The Council knows how busy Chinden is now and adding such a development would be a detriment to this area.
We are asking that the council recommend that this development be denied again.
Respectfully,
Barbara and Leonard Badigian
