Joe Marshall - 9.19/1/2017 Chairman and Commissioners: While we fully understand there is a dire need to continue the hearing for Linder Village due to significant deficiencies in the plan the applicant is submitting, we respectfully request that should you choose to continue, that you clearly state on the record that no other continuances will be considered. Please ask the applicant to provide a clear and concise explanation as to the need for a continuance. Please confirm with the applicant that October 19 is adequate time for their revisions. This will be the second continuance. Please understand that this project has been in the planning stage for a significant amount of time. The Applicant has had considerable time to make adjustments and has up until now, refused to do so. They have known of that the large box retailer had chosen to locate elsewhere for months. They have been aware of the discrepancies with the comprehensive plan for even longer. They are now supposedly making changes at the last minute. Hundreds of citizens have been changing their personal schedules so that they may exercise the right of testifying at this hearing. Many have done so at significant personal and monetary cost. These numbers are not exaggerated as demonstrated by the over 500 signatures on the petition submitted August 31, 2017. Please be aware of what you are asking and how many people of which this effects. A continuation has significant and detrimental effects for hundreds of your constituents. While many will have no problem adjusting to a new schedule many others must change family plans, business trips, work schedules, etc. Most of the stakeholders are not free to change their schedules at a whim. A third continuance would place an undue burden on the people that you are serving. Understand that there is a considerable rumble of dissatisfaction with a second continuance. We are trying to contain that now. A third continuance will explode in a deafening roar of disproval with the city and the process. A proactive gesture on your part would be much appreciated and help to quell or at least subdue the uprising. I am very fond and very proud of this city. I am trying to help the city save face. I need your help. Respectfully, Joseph W. Marshall
