I am writing to the city council of meridian to express my objection to the Linder Village. I feel before any
big commercial projects go in on Chinden it needs to be widen. I realize that Chinden is a state highway and
this depends on the state and their funds and timeline, but in my opinion it is time for this road to be
widen. There has been many times in the middle of the day where the traffic is backed up on Chinden in both
directions, and with the further commercial developments planned for Linder and Ten Mile it is only going to
make this situation worse. We need to have Chinden developed with four lanes and sidewalks from Eagle to
at least Ten Mile before any major box stores go in. Once this is done then I would not be opposed to major
stores going in at these intersections, but we need to have the road work done to accommodate all the extra
traffic these developments will bring.
