Subject: Linder Village Development Proposal Plan Opposition
To whom it may concern,
My family and I have been a resident of Meridian, ID (Paramount Community) for a little over a year now. We
were, yes, one of the "out of towners" that moved into the area. Moving here was a big deal for us. Months and
months of searching for the right place for our family and we finally decided that Meridian was the best place
for our young family. My husband and I have a 2 and 5 year old and the family-oriented, slower paced, friendly
community is what attracted us here and specifically Paramount. We live right off of Cayuse Creek. We have a
beautiful view of the pond our kid's favorite things to do is ride their bikes around them. I feel comfortable
doing this with them because of the above reasons that we moved here. What happens when that street becomes
heavily trafficked? I'm nervous about the new proposed Linder Village development. The increase of traffic and
noise has me especially nervous. I love being able to walk to small restaurants, etc. but I am so scared of what
large box stores bring. I feel like this proposal goes against everything we moved here for. The thought of
having to start over on our search of where to live based on my families needs and wants make my head spin. I
was hopeful that this would be my families forever home and the place where my children would always
remember and call home. If the direction of the city plan goes this new way I fear for not only my families
future but others as well.
Please consider the reasons why we chose to live here and how this potential new direction goes against those
reasons we love so much and how it could potentially impact a lot of our families.
Sincerely,
Josh and Ashley Lane
